Franziska Hatton – Artist
Franziska Hatton is a multidisciplinary designer, researcher and artist. Her practice is expansive in scope, in relation to both subject matter and methods of making. Franziska’s work explores traditional routes of three dimensional design, creating artworks that are sculptural and hand crafted. Conversely, she aims to broaden the materiality and outcomes of her work by exploring a range of methods and materials through collaborations and experimentation.
Franziska’s practice-based PhD research explores the socio-technical implications of emerging technologies through world building to investigate the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Her work highlights how AI technology connects contrasting and interlacing components of society together, resulting in environmentally immersive scenographic installations, which ignite discourse and debate about the choices we make as a society.
